The Deeper Cause is....

The increase in violent weather, drought, torrential rain, earthquakes and warming temperatures, has rightfully alarmed the public. These problems are mostly attributed to rising temperatures caused by increasing carbon dioxide levels. Though this may be part of the explanation, it does not account for earthquakes and misses the most important cause of climatic change and other catastrophes.

The scriptures are full of accounts of what the Creator does when people ignore His teachings-- ignore their Creator, ignore His commandments, are immoral, are greedy, dishonest, don't love each other, etc. When ancient Israel and other countries were disobedient, the Creator sent plaques, drought, famine, foreign conquers, etc. to wake people up and to encourage them to return to their Creator and His ways. Some did. The point is, in desperate situations, people will consider changing. The Book of Mormon tells of similar disobedience and consequences in the Americas. Prophets would have previously warned the people but usually they were ignored. After these catastrophes, prophets would tell the people why they were in such a desperate state and what they must do to again have peace and prosperity-- they had to return to the ways of their Creator. Most did.

The most important work of the Creator is  to bring happiness to Man and all spirits in the Creation.  Happiness requires that Man learn, understand and live what the Creator wants to teach-- the way of happiness.  This necessiates that love, respect, moral behavior, living the commandments, etc. becomes part our inner nature.  For them to become imbeded in our heart, Man has to have experiences in a body on an earth.  Thus, the Creation.

It is a sad commentary that when life goes well, Man frequently forgets his Creator and focuses on wealth, power and pleasures (ignores the commandments, etc.), that is, becomes worldly. In these circumstances, the most effective way to get Man to wake up and return to the higher way, the way the Creator wants to teach, is for Man to experience great trouble. It is amazing how ignorant and short sighted Man is, how easily misled by shallow pleasure. At the time of 9/11, people found that what was most important was family, not their wealth, power, position or life style. The Creator knows that to force people and other spirits to do something, will lead to rebellion, there won't be a change in their inner nature (heart) which is required if Man is to be happy. Instead of forcing good behavior, He works through calamities and disasters and Man chooses to learn or not learn. In the end, no one will be able to say that the Creator didn't do all possible to help Man to choose the road to happiness! Still many don't! If Man lives the higher way, the calamities will greatly decrease.

Immorality, greed, dishonestly, abuse of power, etc. are at a very high level and are accelerating. Spiritual leaders state that in many places, evil is at the level of Sodom and Gomorrah where the Lord took the remaining righteous people (Lot and his family) from these cities and then destroyed these cities. The evil had reached such a level, there was little opportunity for anyone to learn of righteous ways. Again, Native and other spiritual leaders state that much of the world is in serious moral decline matching that of Sodom and Gomorrah. Things are such, it is hard for many to learn of  the way of happiness. Again, the Creator will not force Man to change for this does not change his heart and this is a sacred principle that all spirits, awarenesses, are free to make their own decisions, and thus, they determine their own destiny. But in order to wake Man up, He often puts Man in desperate situations. The Creator is intensifying natural disasters and severe conflicts. Unless Man changes and it seems many wont, civilization will collapse in many areas. The Creator is doing what He can.

4) While working for First Nations, White Wolf became interested in Native spiritual teachings, and studied and traveled with Native spiritual leaders. Thirty years ago, he explored Christianity and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon Church). Since then, he has extensively studied Christian and Native teachings. Native and Christian teachings are mostly compatible though the emphasis can be different.
