By Phil Shapley (White Wolf)
The Creator is all knowing, all wise and the source of love. Everything that the Creator does has a purpose, and thus, the Creation has a purpose.
Before we discuss the Creation, we need to know that all life continues after our physical death. The spirit that inhabits our body, the plants, the animals, and the rocks, continues to exist after death on earth, in the spirit world. What happens on earth will affect our mental state and that of other spirits, in the post-earth life.
Being a God of love, our Creator wants to help all spirits to obtain the highest possible level of happiness. For Man to obtain great joy, requires that our inner nature, heart, be changed so that we seek to love and help others above all else that we do. Only when this becomes most important, do we experience the highest joy.
For Man to develop a good heart, inner nature, requires that we experience good and bad, and the consequences of each. These experiences need to be powerful so that they can deeply touch our heart and cause us to reflect on life. We feel life most strongly when our spirits are in a physical body. Thus, our Creator made physical bodies, placed our spirits in them, and put us on an earth.
Our Creator does not dictate or force the choices that we make or how we react to situations. If he did, we would feel resentment and our heart would not change. He frequently delays the consequences of actions because if there was an immediate consequence, we would be choosing based solely on known outcomes, not on the basis of a good or bad heart. There would be little reflection and thinking about what our choice should be and our heart would not be affected. Happiness requires a deliberate decision to do good coming from a good heart. A good heart is much more than an intellectual understanding it is a deep inner desire to respect the Creator and to help others. When we have this type of heart, we experience the greatest happiness.
To help us, our Maker gives us teachings and commandments. But he does not force us to live the commandments for the reasons given above.
When given freedom of choice, some develop the good heart and others don't learn and choose the bad their desire for power, wealth, etc. seems to dominate their mind. Given this, why does a loving Creator generate an environment where some develop into undesirable persons? There are several answers to this:
- Is our Maker to deny many obtaining greater happiness because others choose misery? We must have these experiences in a physical body if we are to realize greater joy.
- The number of people that will realize greater happiness because of earth experiences is much greater than those who choose misery.
How are animals, plants and rocks affected by the Creation? These contain spirits. They experience the positive and negative energy generated by the actions of men, and are lifted by the positive and depressed by the negative. When they are placed in a pleasant post-earth spirit world, they will appreciate this world because of their earth experiences-- they will have experienced the beauty of the Creator's ways and the depression generated by negative ways. They will more than ever, appreciate the wisdom of their Creator, the beautiful post-earth world, and be thankful.
