| THE NON-HUMAN PARTS OF THE CREATION |

their role By Phil Shapley (White Wolf) As stated elsewhere, the Earth (the Creation) and all on it, came into existence when the spiritual elements (also called intelligences or awarenesses) decided to obey the Creator-- because of their love and respect for Him. Everything in the Creation from atoms upward to plants, animals, rocks, etc., has awareness, that is, is aware of positive and negative energy, and can decide to obey or not obey the Creator. The Creation will continue to hold together, exist, as long as all elements respect the Creator, or until the Creation is over whelmed by the negative energy generated by Man. The Earth and all on it is a delicate organization of all the spiritual elements, awarenesses, which are part of it because they love, respect and obey their Creator. The Creation has a role to play for the elements, awarenesses, in it and they, in turn, have roles is the Creation. We discuss the former first. As stated above, the elements have awareness. They experience positive and negative energy. They experience the positive when they and/or others obey the Creator, or follow His ways. They feel the negative when the opposite is done, especially the negative acts of Man. In all this, they experience the wisdom of the Creator, are more appreciative of Him and His ways, will be more obedient, and will greatly appreciate their post-earth life in a positive world because of the knowledge gained in their earth life. Now we cover the role that the spiritual elements play in the Creation. The dominant role of Man is discussed in another paper. These non-human parts such as plants and animals, atoms, streams and lakes, the ocean, water, etc., play the role assigned them by the Creator. These roles can change at the request of the Creator. The roles played by the various of parts of the Creation, include: 1) atoms come together to make physical structures and chemicals; 2) water, plants, animals and minerals supply nourishment to various components; 3) rocks, metals, plants, minerals, electricity, soil, etc., make possible the cars, TVs, gadgets, etc. used by Man, plant material and soil are used to make bird nests, soil makes possible den holes for animals and it provides a medium which supports plants, etc. 4) wind, rain, drought, streams, etc., all play roles assigned by the Creator, the role at a particular moment being determined either by laws which govern their overall actions, or by a specific assignment from the Creator. Much more could be said but the obvious point is that all parts of the Creation play roles in maintaining the Creation and in determining what happens. Everything is connected. The scriptures have much to say about the elements changing at the request of the Creator or by special persons who are close to the Creator: 1) the Earth came into existence when the elements decided to obey the Creator (see Spiritual Basics for Resource Managers); 2) Jesus commanded the waters to be still, He changed water to wine, Moses's rod was changed into a snake and he got water to come out of the rock, Jesus and His Apostles healed the sick, Enoch moved mountains (Moses 7:13 (LDS scripture)), etc.; 3) Gifted people today (those Close to the Creator) heal the sick (I have seen this!); 4) Native people know that all in the Creation can respond to good Medicine people. Much more could be said but this will suffice. Spiritual people know that their prayers can be answered. For instance, we can pray for rain to end a drought or for a storm to cease. But we should not insist that our prayer be answered, the drought, storm, flood, disease, etc. may be playing a role assigned by the Creator. So pray for what you need or want but ask that it only be given if it is wise. We may not be aware of a negative impact on us that the Creator knows about, or given the overall picture, what we ask may be not wise. If your prayer is to be answered, you must have some faith. Also, the Creator usually does not grant your wants or needs until you ask Him because if it just happened, you would not know that the Blessing came from the Creator. An Indian friend had a powerful experience. He needed to cut firewood but it was very stormy. He asked for good weather if it was wise. The storm continued but ceased in his immediate vicinity. When he finished cutting, the storm again filled the whole area. The storm had a role to fulfill, perhaps to satisfy a meteorological law or to help some wayward people wake up, to provide needed moisture, etc. Still, the Creator helped my faithful Native friend. To sum up, the elements in the Creation learn of the wisdom of Creator when they experience the positive and negative energy generated by obedience and disobedience to the Creator. Further, all parts of the Creation play a role in the functioning of it-- plants provide food for animals, minerals nourish plants, etc. All parts are inter-connected. Elements and roles can change at the command of the Creator. When we ask the Creator for something, we need to allow the Creator to decide whether it is wise-- He can see effects that we may not be aware of and he can see the greater, overall picture. |
