In other papers, I explained that all of the Creation is spiritual-- plants, animals, rocks and even down to atoms. By this I mean that all of these are contain beings, intelligences, awarenesses or spirits, whatever you wish to call them. These spirits can sense positive and negative energy or influences, and can choose how they respond to it. They are attracted by the positive such, as love, and will likely try to avoid a negative such as hate, selfishness, etc. They can obey or ignore a request from another spirit.
Rocks, plants, animals and atoms came into existence when the awareness's responded to the request of the Creator to organize themselves in certain ways that He specified. As these intelligences obeyed the Creator, rocks, plants, animals and atoms were formed. If these spiritual beings chose to ignore the Creators requests, the Creation would not exist or would fall apart, collapse.
These awarenesses or spirits have different capacities or levels of intelligence. The lower level ones are part of atoms. Higher ones are the controlling influence over lower level spirits that make up the atoms in rocks, plants and animals. The spirit which controls the human body is the one with the greatest awareness, capacity or intelligence.
Why do these intelligences decide to obey the Creator? They have come to realize that as they organize themselves as He requests, they experience the greatest positiveness or happiness and joy. They love the Creator for doing this and realize that He, the Creator, is the source of great wisdom.
Why does the Creator go to all this effort to form the Creation? He is happy when the awareness's are happiest. He loves to help each awareness reach the highest capacity that it is capable of realizing, the level which brings it the greatest joy.
Evidence for this comes from the scriptures and from the near death experiences of people. In the Book of Revelations in Chapters 4 and 5, we read of four beasts and of all creatures in the Creation praising their Creator. In near death experiences where the spirit or awareness of a person returns temporarily to the abode of the Creator, he or she sees plants and animals lovingly praising the Creator for what He has done for them.
The happiness of the creatures that have been part of the Creation, reflects a deep, basic truth. When two awarenesses or spirits work in cooperation to accomplish something good, such as helping another, positive energy is released. The more beings working together to do good, the greater the positive energy.
The basic truth in the above paragraph underlies an even more fundamental principle. There are always choices, some of which produce a positive result and others a negative. For example, love versus hate, help versus doing nothing, yin versus yang, etc. Some choices are neutral, such as to have a ham versus cheese sandwich, to buy brand X or Y, etc.
The Creator has the wisdom to organize all intelligences, awarenesses, in a way that each can realize the greatest possible joy that it is capable of obtaining. Thus, these awarenesses love the Creator. And the Creator who is the most intelligent of all the awareness's, realizes great joy, great love and happiness in doing His work. The more spirits that He organizes and that appreciate what He has done, the more His joy and capacity to love and to sacrifice for others!
How great is the love of the Creator? It is beyond Man's comprehension but an explanation of certain phenomena will help us get a glimpse of the depth of His love which is the result of all His positive effort.
As explained elsewhere, the Earth was created and Man's spirit (awareness) was placed in a body on Earth. In his Earth life, Man can have those experiences that deeply teach him the wisdom of the Creator's ways and help him, Man, to make them part of his inner nature-- kindness, thoughtfulness, obedience to higher laws, etc., which become part of our inner being. As we develop these attributes, we become more like our Creator.
Because Man has been given dominion and has so many capacities and privileges, when he, Man, does negative actions, such as violating the Commandments, showing anger, is immoral, is lazy, etc., negative energy is generated that hurts all the Creation. Justice requires that Man pay a penalty for this, including not being able to return to the presence of his Maker after the Earth life of his spirit. Given what has been given Man, the Creation would rebel if there were no justice, no penalty, for privileged Mans bad acts.
The Creator decided, in his love, to pay the price of the penalties incurred by each person. Thus, the Creator suffered the penalties that would have been placed on each of us, man or women, for our negative acts, one of the penalties being that we could not return to our Maker. All men and women have done negative things. The Creators action saves us from paying the penalty ourselves provided we sincerely strive to live the teachings of the Creator. We are not required to live the teachings perfectly but to seriously work at it.
By our Maker suffering the penalties of our transgressions, in some hard to comprehend way He becomes aware of how to best help us. He wants to help but we must ask.
For this forgiveness to work for us, our Creator had to suffer greatly, much beyond our meager ability to comprehend. The creatures in the Creation had to be shocked at what the Creator who they adored, suffered for the disobedient human spirits. Great suffering was required. The Creation responded by basically saying: we the creatures of your Creation will allow these humans to be forgiven because we love you, our Creator, so much and you suffered so greatly to pay the price of their penalties. That is, the Creator suffered beyond our comprehension so we humans would not need to pay the penalty for our negative acts and could return to the Creators presence. Is not the Creators love beyond comprehension? By what He has done, He has enabled Man to develop his highest potential which requires an Earth experience in a body. Also, Man can again live with his Maker! That is, He enables Man to obtain the greatest possible level of happiness!
I accept Jesus Christ as the Creator. His suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross, is hinted at in Luke 22: 40-46, Matthew 26: 36-46 and 27: 45-50. In Gethsemane, Christ pleaded with the Father that this bitter cup be taken from him, if possible. But it was not possible. He submitted to the will of the Father and suffered for our transgressions. This suffering caused Him, the greatest of all spirits, to sweat blood. And on the cross, He had to suffer without the presence of the Fathers spirit, crying: Father, why have you forsaken me! The rocks and mountains broke up in agony at seeing what he went through!
