| MANS UNIQUE ROLE IN THE CREATION |

By Phil Shapley (White Wolf) Man has privileges and roles in the Creation that no other creature has. This has come about largely because Man is more intelligent than other parts of the Creation: - Man can learn more, can create and can invent; - he is aware of right and wrong, and of the consequences of his actions; - he is capable of modifying his behavior and over coming problems; - because of his capabilities, Mans actions can affect all of the Creation. The Creator has given Man special privileges that other creatures could not handle. With all of Man's capabilities and privileges, the Creator asks certain things of Man which if he violates some of them, leads to negative consequences for Man and all Earth life. The privileges given Man, his capabilities and his actions, leads to the following: 1) Man has been given dominion, that is, dominance in the Creation but he is to use this power in a responsible way. 2) To limit Mans negative impact on the Creation, the Creator has given Man teachings and Commandments. 3) These teachings and Commandments plus Man's experiences while living in a body on Mother Earth, play the role of helping Man learn the wisdom of these, and by living these teachings, Man develops his higher potential. 4) The Creator realizing the potential in Man, calls Man His sons and daughters, and asks Man to eventually with his Creator's help, to become like Him, the Creator (Matthew 5:48). This has deep and beautiful implications beyond the scope of this paper. 5) When the Creator counsels Man to do or not do certain things, such as to love and forgive, to not steal or lie, etc., and Man ignores these, there are many negative effects. Given the special privileges of Man and the serious negative energy disobedience generates which is felt in all the Creation, the elements in the Creation demand that Man pay a penalty for his irresponsible acts, especially those he consciously commits. If there were no penalty, the Creation would rebel and thus, it would collapse. Remember, the Creation exists because the elements voluntary obey the Creator. 6) These penalties for our wrong doings, are partly paid in this life but mostly in the post-earth life that is, there must be justice if the Creation is to continue to obey its Creator. 7) The person that has done much wrong, would seem to face a harsh future. But a loving Creator has provided a way out, an escape. If you realize that you have done wrong, and are willing to change for the better, including doing good actions (this is all called repentance), the Creator can forgive your bad actions and will issue no punishment. This wonderful benefit is called the Atonement, a deep and beautiful teaching that can't be covered here. And as we work to do good and become kind: 1) we realize self respect, confidence, personal peace and have help from the Creator in this, our Earth, life; 2) we have a positive impact on other spirits, including plant and aniaml spirits, such as my wife's loving cultivation of flowers which they feel; 3) we can have a more beautiful part of the after Earth life in the spirit world. |
