Take spiritual approach, what Pres. Obama can do to be effective. He should seek spiritual gifts.

The Present and near Future
- The Lord assisted the election of President Obama-- he was the one of all possible Presidential candidates that might greatly inspire Americans.
- The Economic Stimulus Package will mostly fail-- there will be a harsh Depression. The failure will show that Man alone can’t solve this problem. Some people will turn to the Lord.
- The overall moral decline in the U.S., will continue despite many turning to the Lord. The Lord's spirit of peace is being withdrawn from the non-spiritual people which leads to increased conflict. The U.S. will continue to weaken though President Obama and good living people who are in the minority, will slow this tread. - The gay rights and marriage issue will increasingly divide the country.
President Obama can still do much good
- He can continue to state that government can’t solve all problems, it will take time for many programs to work, government and people must work together, and many problems can only be solved through personal initiative. This will be mostly accepted.
- Continue to stress that for America to return to greatness, requires all do their part.
- Encourage people to take responsibility for their destiny.
- He can emphasize that people that live spiritual principles will be successful in handling their own challenges and in living these principles, will greatly help America.
- By using prayer and applying spiritual principles in his decision making and in developing programs and policies, and not hiding this from the public, he will encourage many to call on their Creator and to live morally.
- The gay marriage issue is very important to the Lord-- the President must not support gay marriage but allow for some form of legal gay partnership. To the Lord, marriage is a Sacred legal relationship between husband and wife.
- If President Obama follows the above counsel, he will have inspiration from the Lord which will increase his effectiveness and he will continue to be much respected.
- President Obama needs all the help that is available. 1 Corinthians 12: 31 reads: covet earnestly the best gifts. The Lord wants to give. President Obama can through a Melchizedek Priesthood Belssing, be given increased discernment, understanding matters as the Lord sees them, increased inspiration and comprehension, increased stamina, increased communication skills, etc.
If President Obama applies the above, he will do much that will help many people, including establishing some effective government programs. But most important, he will motivate many people to turn to spiritual living and take responsibility for themselves which will greatly help them survive these increasingly difficult times.
